The X700 Stylish SD Smart Phone is Panasonic\'s first handset to use Symbian OS and the Series 60 Platform which enable users to read and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents on their handsets while travelling. The files can be stored on the miniSD memory card and easily be linked to other Panasonic AV equipment using the miniSD adapter. Featuring Java MIDP 2.0, the X700 allows users to download further applications and games.

Supporting MMS and email, Panasonic\'s tri-band smart phone allows users to send photos and documents to a PC or MMS enabled phone.With its Bluetooth® capability, consumers can take advantage of wireless connectivity through a Bluetooth® hands-free headset and when connecting remotely through a laptop.The X700 also features one of the first speaker independant voice recognition systems to ease the dialling of numbers from the phonebook and to control some of the functions in the phone, without having to pre-programme it

Picture perfect

The handset features a built-in VGA CMOS digital camera with Photo Light function for clear and crisp photos, which can be edited using the pre-loaded imaging applications and then be stored on the miniSD card. The X700 has a 65,536 colour Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen displaying pictures in brilliant colours and also features a colour sub display. Additionally, the model offers video capability with sound to play and encode videos. With this feature consumers can record video clips and email them to friends or family by simply using their mobile and without having to carry a video camera.
